MAYOR ART, AKA: Art Findley, AKA: Arthur Finger, hosted a live weekday children's program called "Tooneytown" in the mid to late 1950's from KOVR's Stockton studio. I remember the Looney Tunes cartoons, a mechanical microphone on a boom that was made up like a coo-coo bird named Ring-A-Ding. One of his lines; "A glass of milk and a how do you do?" His closing line; "We'll be seeing you subsequently." His atire was a high top hat and a morning coat. I was one of many children chosen to be on his show. We got to take home loads of sponsor samples. I remember the mini loaf of Rainbow Bread. His program ended with KOVR in 1959.
