This Sparta GT-12 was rescued from the dark dusty corner of a remote transmitter site. It's dirty and doesn' work.
General clean-up, a polished platter and some new felt only makes it look good. It still doean't work.
A lens was broken off, so the speed indicator lamps were replaced. The original square lamps are not available, so round lamps took their place. Not bad looking at all and they work.
Motor shock mounts, being their age, were replaced with new mounts. There are three P/N 106-2. The idler wheel was as hard as plastic, so it too was replaced with a new wheel. This idler is the same for Russco and QRK.
It's nice to have rescued this vintage turntable, destined to the land fill.
The motor was completely disassembled, cleaned and lubricated. It runs like a champ, quietly.
