If you are considering changing out the case to your HT-1000, you need to be aware that it isn't as simple as 1,2,3. To begin and the most important, the new case does not come with a universal connector. This is the connector that accepts the speaker mic. You will need to remove the connector from the original case. It is securely glued into place and requires careful removal. It will need to be reglued into the new case. Secondly, the rubber tip that activates PTT, is too long. It will need to be slightly trimmed with a razor blade.
